Marshallers/pilots (ECS)

1 day, divided into
0,5 days of theoretical instruction
0,5 days of practice
Contents:
6 hours of lessons,,
2 flying hours without external cargo.
This course combines pilot and marshaller training in order to establish a basis for future teamwork. Lesson topics: legal parameters, influence of down wash drag and bank angle on cargo, boarding and de-boarding while hovering, marshaller training, teamwork and responsibility, emergency plan at workplace, first aid, rescue, working with third parties, phraseology, radio communication, marshalling, personal safety equipment, load lifting devices, slinging techniques, work assignments, flight obstacles, laws and administration, briefing and safety at workplace, debriefing.

Legal prescriptions (EASA OPS, national regulations), marshaller syllabus
Work material:
FOCA ECS I form, marshaller syllabus, flight operations equipment, crane, producers' documentation (photographs, copies), R44 helicopter, rope length up to 10m (short-line)
Training locations:
- Donaueschingen airport (Germany, EU), HTC-Helicopter Training & Charter GmbH
Flexibility:
- The lesson contents can be modified according to the clients' specific needs and previous knowledge.
Employer information:
- The "ground" course will be directed by a certified safety expert and FOCA representative and in compliance with the legal foundations (aviation law, labour law, occupational safety).
- The basic course for pilots is part of the pilots' vocational education. The aviation school responsible is in charge of the detailed planning and execution.
- The responsibility for the course administration lies with the aviation school.
- The training is based on the FOCA ECS I form and the marshaller syllabus, as well as on essential publications on the topic.
Certificate:
- Participants will receive a course certificate and their attendance will be recorded in the marshaller syllabus training check (AK FH-SY).
